DESCRIPTION:Join the museum as we partner with Tulane Law School to engage with attorneys Mercedes Montagnes\, Executive Director at the The Promise of Justice Initiative\, Katherine Mattes\, Director of the Criminal Justice Clinic at Tulane University\, Caroline Tillman\, Senior Staff Attorney at the The Promise of Justice Initiative\, Charell Arnold\, Staff Attorney at the Innocence Project New Orleans\, and Soren Gisleson\, Partner at Herman Herman & Katz\, LLC as they discuss mass incarceration\, Louisiana\, and the state of the criminal justice system in America. A reception will follow immediately after the panel. \nPlease note\, this event will take place at Tulane Law School’s Wendell Gauthier Moot Court Room (Room 110) in Weinmann Hall.

SUMMARY:Muses Shoe Decorating Workshop - Part 1
DESCRIPTION:Are you ready for Mardi Gras? Newcomb is hosting a two-part Carnival shoe-decorating workshop\, inspired by one of our favorite Mardi Gras krewes – Muses! Grab your friends and join us for a fun-filled craft session where a member of Muses shows us how to festively decorate a classic Muses shoe! This workshop is limited in size so please register by emailing museum@tulane.edu; $20 for members\, $40 for non-members. The registration fee covers all materials plus refreshments. \nDue to the time required for preparing and decorating the shoes\, attendees must be able to attend both workshops\, on February 2 AND February 10.
