SUMMARY:Free Family Day at the Museum!
DESCRIPTION:Do you have little artists in your household? Want to encourage their love of craft while in a place surrounded by gorgeous art? Then bring the whole family to Free Family Day on March 16! Kids will enjoy coming up with their own stories and creating their own books by folding\, sewing with yarn\, tying knots\, decorating\, and even going big with accordion books! Activities are designed for children 12 and under; museum staff will also lead age-appropriate exhibition tours and art-inspired scavenger hunts. This event is free and open to all families! Email tfriel@tulane.edu for more information. \n** Have old or unused crayons at your house? Newcomb Art Museum has partnered with Crayon Collection to repurpose old crayons for use by kids in Title 1 and Head Start schools. Bring your crayons (no matter what shape they’re in) when you come to the museum and we’ll make sure they find a new home! Learn more here.
