Do you represent a school in Orleans and Jefferson Parish? Then we invite you to bring your students to explore the museum and enjoy a free tour and hands-on educational activities tailored to the current exhibition and their grade level! Reducing any and all barriers of entry to seeing and experiencing the art and stories on view is a critical part of the museum’s mission and we’re grateful to have dedicated partners who aid us in accomplishing that vision. Thanks to generous funding from the museum educational sponsor, The Helis Foundation, the Newcomb Art Museum is able to offer free tours with educational activities, transportation, and lunches to school classes in Orleans and Jefferson Parish. Past visits have come from art classes, social justice classes, civics and government classes, and included students in every grade – so whatever grade and subject matter you represent we would be thrilled to share our museum with your students! To learn more about this opportunity please reach out to the museum by emailing Tom Friel at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 504.865.5361.
