Renowned former NASA Senior Researcher Dr. Yvonne Clearwater will explore the range of meanings and variance of human experience in the realm of isolation and confinement, solitude and loneliness, highlighting the human experience of living and working in space. She will then present an overview of her interdisciplinary work in leading NASA space human factors and habitability research efforts toward the design of the International Space Station, with an emphasis on the critical relationships between the environment, psychological well-being and human performance.
