
Drop by the Newcomb Art Museum on Second Saturdays this fall for guided exhibition tours focusing on different themes present in the current tricentennial show, EMPIRE, led by different faculty and staff from Tulane.
On November 10, join us for a very special Second Saturday tour celebrating Homecoming at Tulane! Lee Miller, Head of The Louisiana Research Collection at Tulane University, will lead a guided tour of Newcomb Art Museum’s tricentennial exhibition EMPIRE which brings together over 400 objects culled from the diverse archives across Tulane’s collection, telling the story of New Orleans through the lens of Tulane. Miller will discuss the role of Louisiana Research Collection and go into detail about the plethora of objects on view including Mardi Gras illustrations, important LBGT+ ephemera, and historical Louisiana documents.
