12 pm & 1 pm – Exhibition tour of “Unfamiliar Again: Contemporary Women Abstractionists” by Monica Ramirez-Montagut, Museum Director
1 pm to 3 pm – FREE cotton candy
12:30 & 1:30 pm – Behind-the-scenes tour of the Newcomb Pottery collection and the history of this treasured enterprise by Sierra Polisar, Collections Manager
2 pm & 3 pm – Exhibition tour of “Unfamiliar Again: Contemporary Women Abstractionists” by Tom Friel, Coordinator for Interpretation & Public Engagement
2:30 pm & 3:30 pm – Behind-the-scenes tour of the permanent collection of Newcomb and Tulane with a first-hand look at collections management and object preservation with Sierra Polisar, Collections Manager
PLUS enjoy glass blowing demonstrations from the Newcomb Art Department from 1 pm to 3 pm and open houses of the Newcomb College Institute and New Orleans Center for the Gulf South from 3 pm to 5 pm.
The Newcomb Art Museum will also be discounting museum memberships by 25% for all Tulane & Newcomb Alumni! The museum store will be offering discounts on books from the gift shop and will also be selling t-shirts to support the Louisiana Prison Eduction Coalition.a
