This Spring, Newcomb Art Museum presents three distinct exhibitions. Each is independent, representing different themes that are carefully considered in relation to the museum’s mission to build upon its institutional legacy and highlight contributions of artists of the American South to the fields of art, craft, and design.

Victory Workers foregrounds representations of African American labor by artists of the twentieth century to reveal the contributions of under-recognized workers who serve within and beyond their respective communities.
The traveling exhibition William Edmondson: A Monumental Vision offers an opportunity to engage the work of the renowned, twentieth century visionary artist and folk sculptor with an emphasis on the complex relationship between Black cultural production and American museums.
